UnitedHealth Group Accreditation Policy Changes

As of January 12, 2007, UnitedHealth Group now requires that all laboratories performing Echocardiography, Nuclear Medicine/Cardiology, PET, MRI,MRA, CT, and CTA will need to obtain accreditation by March 1, 2008. Because UnitedHealth Group is one of the largest insurers in the nation, currently covering over 55 million lives, weare anticipating a significant increase in the number of laboratories applying for accreditation.
